The Process
Because SoME skincare is a topical that requires no surgery, all you have to tolerate is a simple blood draw that we can do right in our office. Once your blood has been removed, it will be spun on-site, and your plasma will be concentrated in a centrifuge. This platelet-rich product will be blended into your SoME Skincare serum kit and given back to you for refrigerated storage. Your treatment kit will give you a 90-day supply of serum.
This product is ideal for anyone with sensitive skin or anyone prone to scarring or breakouts. It is free of harsh chemicals and enhanced with platelets from your own body to further reduce the risk of an allergic response. While the serum can offer your skin some protection without the PRP, the best results are gained when your PRP is blended into the serum to boost the connective tissue strength of your skin.
The Product
SoME is a topical serum that is applied to your skin after you remove your makeup and before you apply your moisturizer. Unlike enhanced moisturizers that combine healing and skin protection with a moisturizer or sealant to capture moisture against the skin, this serum concentrate has no additives to dilute its ability to reduce wrinkles and boost skin firmness.
This treatment is truly personalized. Instead of investing in a product line that may work only in part, or not work for you at all, you can purchase one product that is tailored to the healing needs of your skin, because it’s enhanced with your plasma.
In addition to tackling the fine lines and sagging skin that comes about as we age, this product targets discoloration. This is a fairly new therapy, so your concern is completely normal. In fact, we approve of curiosity! Many components make up the liquid we know as blood, and most of them aren’t red.
When your blood is removed from your body it will be spun in a centrifuge to separate the blood components. At the end of the spinning, the test tube will be filled at the top with a pale, unusable liquid of platelet-poor plasma. Below that will be the amber or rose layer of platelet-rich plasma, so useful in connective tissue healing, joint repair, and skin rejuvenation. Below that will be red blood cells. Only the PRP liquid will be blended into your personal SoME skin serum.
As there is no surgery or cutting of any kind with this treatment, there is no risk of scarring. Your blood draw site should heal completely in just a few days. Your only crucial requirement is to take your SoME Skincare kit home and refrigerate it immediately. While PRP material is stable, it will remain more effective over the 90-day supply life if it’s kept chilled to protect the functionality of the platelets in the mixture.
